Mahjong, a game that originated in 19th Century China and has reached all corners of the world.  It's popularity just keeps growing!  There are many variants of the game from region to region, but the core parts of the game remain steadfast.  A time honored tradition of friends gathering and sharing stories while playful competition ensues continues to endure. 

Whether you make your own full set of game tiles or use the textures to create game night dishes, platters and cups, you'll have fun working with this enduring design motif.  

When drawing the stamps Elaine created pieces that were going to be interesting and a bit different from the usual run of the mill, to make this set of tiles sit
apart from the common everyday set.  Including the joker, which is a vintage image, but is a legitimate traditional tile used in the game.

So in addition to creating a handmade heirloom set of tiles, they will have their own personality but keeping within the tradition of the game.
